Professional Experience
Tim’s professional career spans over 12 years in pharmaceutical sales across Louisiana and Texas. Following Hurricane Katrina, he relocated with his family to Houston, driven by a vision for greater opportunities. His entry into the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) sector was unexpected, stemming from a chance encounter while coaching his daughters’ soccer team, where he met a prospective client whose daughter played on the same team. This encounter led to a significant shift in his career, fueling an ongoing passion for the HDD sector. Over the years, he has found great happiness in such a rewarding career. Tim is actively involved with the DCA, PLCA, and PLCAC and looks forward to becoming even more involved in the years to come.

Educational and Personal Background
Tim earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Training and Development from Louisiana State University, where he also competed as a student-athlete from 1993 to 1997. He has been married to his wife, Marlene, for 26 years, and together they have two daughters, Emma and Paige.

Jon Heinen is a founding member and partner at Right Turn Supply, where he channels his extensive job site experience into helping customers boost their productivity. As a former owner of an HDD contracting company, Jon knows firsthand the challenges faced in the field, such as difficult ground conditions, tight timelines and proper tooling and drilling fluid selection. This experience helps guide his customers with firsthand knowledge and expertise. His days are spent on the front lines with customers, listening to their needs, and using that feedback to steer the strategic direction of Right Turn Supply. Jon is always on the lookout for innovative ways to help customers not just succeed, but thrive in their operations.

Brief Work History
With over 20 years in the HDD industry, Jon has dedicated his career to driving results in the field. After gaining invaluable hands-on experience, he joined Vermeer Corporation as a key accounts manager, eventually rising to a strategic management role within the Vermeer pipeline segment. His passion for the industry led him to an ownership role at Right Turn Supply, where he could be part of a dynamic team of experts focused on delivering successful HDD projects every time.

Jon is committed to sharing his knowledge and insights with the broader industry through speaking engagements, bylined articles in industry publications such as Construction Equipment, Trenchless Technology Magazine, and Underground Infrastructure, and active participation in professional organizations like the Pipeline Contractors Association and other industry events. As a former DCA Board of Directors and former DCA HDD Committee chairman, Jon is focused on continually contributing to the growth and advancement of the HDD industry.

Family Life
Jon resides in Pella, Iowa, with his wife, Tricia. Together they share four children, Maclane, Maggie, Morgan, and Maddux.
