MAX BORE HDD
The MAX BORE* HDD system is a proprietary, blended, high‐yielding Wyoming bentonite supplied as a single‐sack product used especially in boring‐fluid applications. The MAX BORE HDD system provides suspension, wellbore stability and filtration control. The system also helps reduce torque and drag for water‐base applications and is designed to minimize environmental impact.
The MAX GEL viscosifier is a premium 220-bbl yield Wyoming Bentonite blended with special extenders. Applications for the MAX GEL viscosifier include rapidly building mud viscosity and providing superior hole cleaning as well as helping to control lost circulation, formation sloughing, and hole instability in unconsolidated formations. The viscosifier is capable of yielding more than twice as much viscosity as regular Wyoming bentonite.
Super Gel X
SUPER GEL-X is an easy mixing, high viscosity 200 bbl yield freshwater drilling fluid produced from the highest grade Wyoming sodium bentonite. SUPER GEL-X is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 60, Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals – Health Effects.
HYDROGEL® PLUS is a High Performance Bentonite with a unique formula making it a very effective viscosifier. This premium grade beneficiated Wyoming Bentonite is specifically designed for use with mud recycling systems on large HDD Bores.
TRU-BORE® is a highly concentrated bentonite based drilling fluid designed for difficult drilling operations in both vertical and horizontal borings.
AMC GEL™ is a modified, high quality grade bentonite formulated to ensure a high quality bentonite mud can be mixed with ease. AMC GEL™ provides viscosity and gelling to most water based fluids while also contributing to fluid loss control

AMC EZEE BORE™ is an easy to mix, high quality bentonite based product that provides excellent rheological and filtration control properties and is ideally suited for use in horizontal directional drilling, water well, mining and tunnelling applications
Clay & Shale Inhibitors
KLA-GARD shale stabilizer reduces the swelling of sensitive shales and drill cuttings exposed to water-base drilling fluids. It inhibits shale hydration, reducing the effect of drill solids on viscosity and it works to minimize problems such as excessive dilution rates, increased torque and drag, high surge and swab pressures and bottomhole assembly balling.
HYDROFORCE HDD is a proprietary blend of liquid clay stabilizers designed to stabilize water sensitive formations, and prevent hydration. HYDROFORCE HDD inhibits clays by means of suppressing the hydration and swelling associated with water absorption. Clay inhibition is achieved by preventing water uptake and by providing superior cuttings integrity. HYDROFORCE HDD effectively reduces bit and BHA balling and aids in hole stability in addition to increasing effectiveness of solids control equipment.
Clay-Decay is a proprietary dispersant that effectively and aggressively interrupts reactive clays and stops them from sticking to the bit /cutter. Clay-Decay is an extremely versatile product that can be utilized in sweeps for cleaning to increase ROP and limit bit-balling. Clay-Decay is also an effective tool for aiding in viscosity control. By working as a thinner, it gives operators more control over unforeseen and random encountered drilling conditions.
Detergents & Thinners
RINGFREE polymeric thinner is a highly efficient, thermally stable thinner and surface-active agent that removes bentonite clays from the frill string. It is environmentally acceptable and contains no heavy metals.
Det FORCE is a water-soluble surfactant designed to reduce the surface tension of all water‐base mud systems and reduce the sticking tendency of water‐sensitive clays. It is used in all drilling areas and can be effective in virtually any water‐base drilling fluid. It is used primarily in HDD crossings to minimize bit balling, reduce surface tension, and aid in dropping sand and removing drill solids. Det FORCE reduces torque and drag, even when no oil is present in the system.
Thin FORCE is a low molecular weight, anionic, synthetic copolymer supplied as a high activity aqueous solution for use as a deflocculant in water-based drilling fluids. The primary application for Thin FORCE is to help control the rheology of drilling fluids by reducing viscosity and gel strengths. Thin FORCE also helps with fluid loss control.
Fluid Loss Additives
PLATINUM PAC cellulosic filtration control polymer is a readily dispersible water-soluble polymer. It is effective in low concentrations, with the normal fluid-loss treatment ranging from .25 to 1 lbm/bbl. PLATINUM PAC polymer is used as a filtrate reducer and borehole stabilizer in water-base drilling application.
Pac L Force
PAC L FORCE is a premium grade high-purity proprietary polyanionic cellulose additive used for rheology and fluid loss control in drilling fluids. It is effective at controlling fluid-loss with a minimum increase in viscosity. PAC L FORCE is ideal for drilling fluid systems requiring tight filtration control and low rheological properties.
Pac R Force
PAC R FORCE is a premium grade high-purity proprietary polyanionic cellulose additive used for rheology and fluid loss control in drilling fluids. It is effective at controlling fluid-loss with a minimum increase in viscosity. It also improves the quality of filter cake in water base drilling fluid systems. PAC R FORCE is ideal for drilling fluid systems requiring tight filtration control and low rheological properties
Greases & Lubricants
Drill-Lube HDD is an engineered blend of environmentally friendly lubricants designed to help you drill faster and pull pipe easier. Through rigorous lab and field testing, Drill-Lube HDD has been formulated to vastly reduce rotational torque and drag while requiring less product usage than competitors. In addition, Drill-Lube HDD’s affinity for metal coats all of the drill rods and bits which can reduce wear and extend the life of the tools. PLATINUM ROD EASE
PLATINUM ROD EASE lubricant mixes instantly and is not affected by water quality. For this product to deliver effective rod protection and reduce torque after drilling has started, consideration must be given to the number of joints and the amount of fluid in the hole. Normal treatment levels are 1% to 2% of fluid volume. PLATINUM ROD EASE reduces torque and drag, prevents rust, increases ROP, and is environmentally safe.
Lost Circulation Material (LCM)
HDD DEFENSE is a blend of environmentally safe sealants and swellable materials designed to remediate inadvertent return events in HDD applications. Designed to be applied at the onset of inadvertent returns, HDD Defense should be spotted as a pill on bottom (in the inadvertent return zone), with typical concentrations varying from 1 – 1.5 lb/gallon.
DRILL SEAL is a blend of natural plant fibers. These deformable and compressible particles conform to the shape of pores and fractures to provide a bridge and a primary seal against loss of drilling mud. DRILL SEAL can be used as a standalone product, or in conjunction with Right Turn Supply’s other proprietary lost circulation materials to combat lost circulation/inadvertent returns. These pills may be used in sweep fashion.
Seal FORCE super absorbents are cross-linked, insoluble, organic, acrylamide copolymers designed to swell in the presence of water to plug up pores and fractures causing Inadvertent returns. Seal FORCE polymers are capable of absorbing between 50 ~ 350 times their own weight of water while remaining as separate individual particles. The absorption of water causes the particles to swell to a volume much greater than their original size. Once absorbed, the water is tightly bound and will not be released unless subjected to very high pressure, heat or certain chemicals.
POLYSWELL copolymer is used to fill or seal fractures. As the material fully hydrates, the fracture or void is sealed. This product can also be spotted in caving zones to reduce caving problems.
Directly after placing the pill, pull up above the problem zone to prevent sticking. Full hydration occurs in 20 to 30 min. Circulate with mud and lost-circulation material (LCM) to fill the bridge. This material is environmentally safe.
Magma Fiber is a specially formulated acid‐soluble mineral fiber. The coarse, long, flexible fiber helps to regain circulation losses by bridging and plugging off voids, fractures and highly permeable formations. It can be mixed in low concentrations directly into the active system for seepage losses or in higher concentrations in loss circulation “pills”. It can be mixed with any drilling fluid additives and works well with other lost circulation materials.
AMC PLUG™ is a polymer in granular form that absorbs up to 500 times its original volume in water. AMC PLUG™ is ideal for sealing zones of lost circulation and can also be used to reduce rod vibration in holes where lost returns are a problem.
SODA ASH is used to condition and soften make-up water and raise pH, allowing drilling fluid additives to mix more efficiently. SODA ASH treats out hardness due to calcium in make-up water and raises Ph
SODIUM BICARBONATE, commonly referred to as Bicarb, is used in water based fluids as a source of bicarbonate ions. Bicarbonate ions precipitate calcium and reduce pH. SODIUM BICARBONATE is principally used to treat cement contamination. SODIUM BICARBONATE is used to treat soluble calcium in water based drilling fluids. It treats cement contamination, deflocculates contaminated fluids, precipitates calcium and reduces pH. Elevated pH and calcium have the ability to precipitate numerous polymer additives commonly used in drilling fluids. SODIUM BICARBONATE helps to prevent high pH and calcium concentrations in order to maintain polymer concentrations.
DRILLPLEX HDD is a specialty product used to enhance the yield point and gel strengths of bentonite. DRILPLEX HDD is an inorganic chemical viscosifier for water-base bentonite drilling fluids.
This one of a kind HDD utility drilling fluid has yet to meet a job it can’t handle. Cobble Commander increases the drilling fluid’s ability to carry out cuttings without drastically affecting the viscosity. This is indicated by high-yield point and low plastic viscosity readings. When not circulating, the mud instantly returns to a gelled state and immediately suspends drilled cuttings. At the end of the day, Cobble Commander will allow for more time efficient drilling and the carrying out of more cuttings, proving the efficiency and quality of the formula.
DUO-VIS xanthan gum is a dispersible, non-clarified, high-molecular-weight biopolymer used for increasing viscosity in water-base systems. Small quantities provide viscosity and weight material suspension for all water-base mud systems. DUO-VIS biopolymer has the unique ability to produce a fluid that is highly shear-thinning and thixotropic.
SAND FORCE is a high-performance, dispersible xanthan biopolymer used to impart low end, shear thinning, and suspension properties in drilling fluids.
SAND FORCE is used as a clay substitute to impart thixotropic properties by maintaining optimum suspension and carrying capacity in drilling fluids without increasing solids loading.
It is the polymer of choice for increasing viscosity in extended-reach and horizontal crossings, especially those crossings involving low annular velocities.

It can be used in fresh or brackish waters and mixes easily while requiring minimum shear to achieve full effectiveness. Liquid PHPA is used as a shale inhibitor and solids-encapsulating polymer in freshwater, seawater, NaCl and KCI drilling fluid systems. Under specific drilling fluid system conditions, very low concentrations of PHPA can extend the viscosity of bentonite
POLY-PLUS polymer is a high-molecular-weight, anionic liquid designed to provide cuttings encapsulation and shale stabilization. POLY-PLUS additive also acts as a viscosifier, friction reducer and flocculant.
POLY-PLUS* 2000 polymer is a multi‐functional synthetic copolymerdeveloped for use in freshwater‐, potassium‐ and saltwater‐base drilling fluids. POLY‐PLUS 2000 water‐free dispersion has excellent freeze/thaw stability and is not subject to phase separation or premature activation inside the pail or drum. POLY‐PLUS 2000 copolymer provides the same benefits as regular POLY‐PLUS polymer, but at lower concentration.
POLY-PLUS* EHV acrylic copolymer is an extremely high‐molecular‐weight, high‐charge, polyacrylamide supplied as a dry granular powder. POLY‐PLUS EHV acrylic copolymer produces very high viscosity solutions at low dosage rates, particularly in freshwater. It has excellent handling characteristics, mixes easily, and dissolves quickly when added to waterbase fluid systems.
POLY-PLUS* RD acrylic copolymer (PHPA) is a readily dispersible product designed to provide cuttings encapsulation and shale stabilization. It is formulated for easy mixing with improved dispersion to eliminate “fish eyes.” This is beneficial when rapidly mixing either large quantities or high concentrations of polymer where good mixing equipment is unavailable. POLY‐PLUS RD acrylic copolymer acts as a viscosifier, friction reducer, and flocculant. It also provides some fluidloss control. POLY‐PLUS RD acrylic copolymer is a specially treated, high‐molecular‐weight additive. It can be used in mud systems ranging from low solids to weighted muds, using makeup waters from freshwater to saltwater.
